Earlier today, I received the following response from Easton Town Council President Don Abbatiello regarding the proposed ordinance to ban automated license plate reader surveillance in Easton.
Mr. Bauer,
Thank you for the proposed ordinance and your concern about Flock Cameras in Easton. I will forward your proposal to the town attorney for review. We have had several meetings regarding the Flock Cameras set up at Lowe's involving myself, Mayor Cook, Chief Lowrey, and the town attorney. The town itself does not utilize Flock Cameras but I definitely understand the concern when people are filmed simply for driving by Lowe's.
